In a mug add the coffee, sugar and water. Lower the milk frother into the mug and start whipping the mixture. You will see the concoction go from dark brown to light brown and eventually to a light toffee color. This takes about 30 seconds to a minute but the result is what will be the difference between any old latte and luxurious cappuccino like froth at the top.
Once done, pour the hot milk. I tend to enjoy all milk but it can be heavy for some. In that case you can do 2/3 cup milk and 1/3 cup water. Enjoy!

Notes
Swap 1/3 cup of milk with water, depending on how milky you like your coffee. This will result in a slightly thinner and lighter beverage.
You can replace the maple syrup with sugar, keep it low-carb, and use monk fruit sweetener, stevia, or erythritol.
