Basic Green Smoothie

This green smoothie should be a regular for all women! It boasts immune boosting nutrients and a powerful dose of calcium which is so necessary for bone health!

Ingredients

  • 2 cup kale stems removed
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana frozen
  • 1 tsp flax meal
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • ice

Instructions

  • In a blender add the kale and almond milk
  • Blend till smooth
  • Add the banana, flax meal and spirulina and blend some more. I usually chop up ripe banana and freeze in plastic bags and toss it into smoothies or shakes. This gives a creamier consistency to the smoothie/ shake
  • Lastly, add ice and honey and give it one last whirl.
